I am getting married in December of next year. We will have the ceremony in the church, and the reception afterwards in the church fellowship center. My mom and aunt think that since it is December, the bridesmaid dresses need to be floor-length. My fiance likes the dresses that are teacup length because they are more flattering and don’t make the girls look as stocky. Is it okay to have teacup-length dresses in a winter wedding?

Most of my bridesmaids are out of town and it would be easier to order online. However, I’ve never ordered dresses for such an occasion through the internet. If anyone has had a good experience with a certain web site, please let me know. Thanks!

I wasn’t sure if it is common for bridesmaids to pay for thier own dresses or if the bride is responisble?

I have 9 bridesmaids and the best man is a woman. It would be very difficult to coordinate all 10 to go and order the bridesmaid dress I picked together. So I gave them all then designer, style # and color (black with red sash) and asked they order on their own. Should I worry about the colors not matching?

I am thinking of having black bridesmaid dresses, but am not totally sold on the idea. Anyone out there have black bridesmaid dresses for their wedding or have any thought on pros/cons of having this so-called “funeral/non-traditional” color for the dresses?
Our wedding is in August of 07 and my other colors are magenta and bright orange.

I am trying to decide what color I want for my July 2011 wedding. I am thinking of either an aqua or Tiffany Blue, But I am having a hard time trying to look up a site with affordable Tiffany blue bridesmaid dresses. Does anyone know a site? Also, besides chocolate brown to pair with aqua, what else looks nice? There is so much out there that I need other ideas. Thank guys!!

BM dresses are light golden yellow and my bridal gown is white. Wedding is in early summer. Has anyone seen any nice photos of bouquets that would fit this color scheme? I’m thinking a few white roses, tulips, or peonies for the bridesmaids but would like some color in my bridal bouquet.

I chose a bridesmaid dress that is $205.00 which includes alterations. They are also running a special that the dresses are tax free. So, the total is $205.00. One of my bridesmaids (my fiances sister) feels the dress is too expensive. She thinks she can get the same dress at a different bridal shop cheaper. Should I just give her the designer and item # and let her get it somewhere different than the rest of us? She says she doesnt care about alterations being included because she isnt going to need any alterations??? I dont want to be rude or demanding because this is going to be my sister-in-law but I dont want to take a chance that something goes wrong with the dress. HELP!!

I want to the knee champagne dresses that my bridesmaids can wear again. I also want them to be affordable.

I want my bridesmaids to be able to pick their own dress styles, but I’m having a difficult time finding a variety of dresses all the same length that are made of the same fabric in David’s bridal. It is all right to mix fabrics? Which fabrics mix well?
